What I Believe

I'm an evangelical Christian. That means my life is built on the belief that Jesus Christ is Lord, that the Bible is God's true word, and that the Gospel — the good news of what Jesus has done — needs to be shared with everyone. Here's what that means in more detail.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” Romans 1:16

Foundation

The Bible

I believe the Bible is God's inspired, authoritative word — true in everything it teaches, and the final say in what I believe and how I live.

It's not just a good book or a collection of moral stories to me. It's how God has chosen to reveal Himself, His character, and His plan for the world, and I try to let it shape my life rather than the other way around.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16

God

God

I believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — who created and sustains everything, and who is completely holy, just, and loving.

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!” Deuteronomy 6:4

Jesus

Jesus Christ

I believe Jesus is fully God and fully man — born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross in the place of sinners, rose bodily from the dead, and is coming back again.

Everything I believe centres on Him. He isn't just a good teacher or a prophet — He is Lord, and He's the reason any of the rest of this matters.

“Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'” John 14:6

Gospel

The Gospel

I believe every person has sinned and fallen short of God's standard, and deserves the consequences of that. But God, out of love, sent Jesus to take that punishment in our place.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

My Life

My Life & The Church

I believe that once someone trusts in Jesus, the Holy Spirit lives in them and begins changing them from the inside out — and that the local church matters for growing in that.

That's why I try to use what I've been given, including my interest in web development, to point back to God rather than just myself — whether that's a project built to share the Gospel or just doing everyday work with the right heart behind it.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
